Land Agent and Head Gamekeeper, Isle of Mull to Niall Diarmid Campbell, 10th Earl of Argyll, Lived in Tombrek . Born 14th May 1872-1934 23rd May. In loving memory of Angus Cameron, beloved husband of Anne Harrower, ? Glenmore, Perthshire 14th May 1872 died Burnessan, Mull, 23rd May 1934. The above Anne Harrower born Clonmel 31st Dec 1877 died Laurieston 24th Sept 1949. Their daughter Nancy died 11th Nov 1970 aged 67 years, tehir son Duncan died 25th Sept 1976 aged 66 years, interred at Carsphairn “RESURGAM”.
Thomas Hastie’s sister taken in early 1900s. She married James Bone in 1849. He was a leadminer at Woodhead for over 10 years. At least two of the younger women in this photograph are her daughters and the youngest may be a grandaughter. The entire family emigrated to Pittston Pa. in 1876 after spending about 20 years in Dalmellington.
They are studying what looks like a picture of the late Prince Albert. Emily Cathcart joined the royal household in 1885 at the age of 21 and stayed until she was 46 in 1880.
