Welcome to the Carsphairn Archive!Carsphairn Heritage Group (SC007408) is a group of volunteers researching the past of our village and local area. We are based in South West Scotland but have links all over the world via family history researchers.
We have been going for over 30 years and have a collection of family history records, photographs, slides and locally significant artefacts. The Heritage & Craft Centre was built in 1992 to house the collection, provide space for a yearly exhibition and to provide a focus point for visitors carrying out family research.
In 2019 we are undergoing the ambitious project of digitising our collection as far as possible, preserving the work carried out by many volunteers and making it available on line to researchers everywhere.
If you'd like to get involved in the digitisation process, please get in touch by emailing us here!
